the cat and the tv

smirkingcatso a lot of you already know that i do not own a tv, and that i am not really that much into it or movies either, but i still on occasion do watch stuff and here some random thoughts:
so i am one of the few still watching big bang theory, i first got into it because at that time i did a lot of physics too and just finished a difficult math class and actually understood the jokes and noticed some of the hidden ones too. back then loads of folks were watching it and it was one of the topics with my acquaintances (some of them asking me to explain stuff too) but the format kept changing and more and more ppl lost interest, i'm still hanging on
BUT last week i made it through s09 e19-23 and what did they do? they made sheldon in to a hoarder!
they took the least likely character and gave it the least reasonable characteristic? this is stupid and against all we know about sheldon! and really having him say that this makes him into a hypocrite does not change the situation: this is lame writing !
i found it cool when they went there and let him and amy have sex, i am totally down onto howard and berny getting parents, but sheldon being a hoarder is strike 1.
and then there is raj with his 2- TWO!- girlfriends; this again is cheap writing and what was wrong with emily? i found her rather entertaining and a good addition to the group but oh no we need some sort of dilemma for a guy who in real life would never have made it to gf1 the way he was anyway.... sorry but this is strike 2....
lets see what will be the last one, shall we?
on sunday i also lazed around relaxed and finally watched the minion movie and really that movie was sooool overrated, in opposition two the other twos but especially the first; i was BOARD! there were some laughs but they were cheap and not really good at all... i like the minions like the next guy but this movie sucked and some of the jokes were so not for children... rewatch of that one is soooo not gonna happen, it was a waste of time the first round already
so to make it up to myself i watched kinsey next! and this comment has nothing to do with anything but i really need to make: the guy who kissed liam neelson first really has iron cast balls; like i know neelson from mostly action movies and there hi kicks major ass so kissing him as a male is quite the daring thing to do! LOL
the movie itself was pretty good and rather interesting, i use kinsey for my theses quite a bit so it was rather interesting to 'see' how he grew up
and really the misconceptions he tried to get rid of, when you think about it some of them still linger on today, so really it was nice to see where how the battle of sex education started! and imagine that they even have shown it uncensored in japan! *mindblown*
this is it so far, there will be more "review" entries from me but for all here i just didnt feel like i could make them all their own posts

Date: 2016-05-18 09:49 am (UTC)Oh man, I really only really watch TBBT very sporadically (ie when one of its million of reruns are on and I've nothing to do) and admit I'm really only invested in Sheldon (and Amy in relation to him).
I don't watch it regularly because I don't trust the man in charge and hate most other things he's created and get really twitchy that they will fuck up Sheldon's character, especially in the asexuality dept.
So, he's a hoarder now? What (and where) is he doing all this hoarding?

Date: 2016-05-18 10:16 am (UTC)and yes a fucking hoarder: he owns (yet another) storage, where all his stuff is collected- like his toothbrushes, cloths, pencils, socks, music instruments pc (it was because he got a new laptop that they went therein the first place) - it makes just so no sense whatsoever!
and i was afraid they would cock up the sex- thing for sheldon too, but honestly i was more than ok with the way it was done, that actually made some sense but THIS? no you cant get me to believe that, it's just all he is against! so how can that make sense? *sigh* i still could rant for hours over this really LOL
