[fandom:] Claiming my owls and a december recap.

let's talk one more time about last year, and then it shall go down in history and be done with on my part

• i entered the owls for the 2ed round for me and it was again an amazing fest!


• i created 3 gifts: 1 podfic, 1 story and a long comment!


• i recorded the whole podfic about 4 times in one go


• at the time i was fighting with my throat because it demanded to be inflammed- the first 2 takes really got my vocal cords to ache in pain


• in the end i did the recording, editing + creating of a cover in the run of one weekend- starting saturday morning and ending monday morning


• i'm not sure i like my podfic- i relistened to it once after the editing - trying to catch any mistakes again, but my own voice annoys me, even if i try to tell myself its someone else's


• the comment was written in an afternoon, and the story i choose was the 3 story i read from the author- it spoke to me and i knew this one is it


• really you should go and check the story out- it's so worth it


• my own fic was a little bit of a disaster


• i have 3th fics that will be fairly dark in line now- because at the time fluff just looked at me and said: "NO!"


• without my awesome beta-gift i would never have made it on time!


• i think my fic has to come with a sugar- warning but i'm not totally convinced yet!


• and yes after all the fest i did with a late hand in - again i managed to hand in owls on time! and yes i'm very happy about it!


• i cant wait for this years fest! it will be awesome! again, i'm sure

• the lovely gracerene gifted me with amazing beta-services, making my fic so much better i was very stunned by the result! and she even went out of her way and checked it for me twice! TWICE!


• create_serenity recorded for me a very cool podfic to the the story: Exposure by morning light! you should totally go and listen to it- the way she reads make your ears wish the story would never end!


• razra_eizel wrote for me the very lovely story Christmas Dinner. which i encourage you to go and read too- if you like fluff that is!


so really owl-fest this year was amazing and much fun to participate!
i tried to leave a comment on ALL the entries- and i think i only left out 2 or 3 because they had squicks/hard dislikes in for me! i also left comments on most of the mini_fest's entries, as long as i liked the paring and there was no squick- which this year too had an amazing and really looooong run!
i left so many comments through out december that i was starting to think that maybe i spam the posts... and had to fight with myself not to chicken out XD

the first card to arrive was from the lovely idikehaine which a very lovley image drawn by herself:






then arrived this amazing sparkly card from lyonessheart making me smile very much and spreading the amazing holiday cheer!




shortly before i left for holiday break to my hometown enchanted_jae card reached me, making it really hard to wait for the amazing feast!



i tried everything i just wont stand upright, i'm sorry


and then mid january (because i think i misstyped at the sing up- silly me, but i'm also very happy to blame the post, because post) i got this very lovely card from frnklymrshnkly which came in fantastic wrapping with wax-seal and all, and which i destroyed because i was so excited- but i managed to save the seal! go me, or not!




sorry for the shine on the seal- it just wouldnt go away


and last but so not least! the amazing and wonderful kitty_fic gifted me with a very lovely and fluffy cat- vgift! very appropriate a gift from her to me! :D

• to smallbrownfrog who not only researches stuff for me that i cant find and comes up with stuff, but who also never fails to help me push on and pull through and gives great input-no matter the topic! thank you for all the time you spent on me!


• and to vaysh for all her help and great input in soa too, even if to her i'm a total stranger!

and yes sometimes its really hard
but then the authors comment back- letting me know that i DID not spam them (there is someone on mini-fest who really had to reply to me often, and who was very sweet and said all my replies made them smile :D)
so that makes me comment on! (that and the feeling i get when someone comments on my stuff and the hope i can make them feel the same)

Oh yes! I see what you mean now. I've had trouble with photos like that, too. And, I also received some holiday cards that actually refused to stand up on the shelf I display them on. I had to lean them against other cards. Ha ha!
