and october is moving by fast...

i am looking kinda ok-ish on the job front, the thing is there is a position out there, that i really want, but i dont have been invited for an interview as of yet, and the other job might already offer me the position next week... damn!

but well, i shall contemplate that hurdle if and when it comes, it is no use fretting over such a thing yet

also i have some pictures for you - with the accompanying stories

puzzle time

so i am working on this damn zebra puzzle, because zebras and hippos are my favourite non-pet animals:
they look so amazing, and they can walk from a funeral to disco without any change of anything - always dressed for success, stripes are always in fashion as are black and white!

so here is the puzzle:

zebra puzzle

it has to be done by the 19th - as my parents come to stay with me from the 20th until - i dont really know, but it is for miniscule dog to get used to staying here, and staying away overnight.
as for the puzzle - the zebras drive me MENTAL as is the grass - though i didnt give the grass a real try, and i will start on that today or tomorrow, because for now i am over the zebras...
it has 1000 pieces and is 70x90 cm big, and i am working on it on and off for 3 weeks i think...

not-leaning tower of books
as [personal profile] octahedrite noticed there are books on the sofa... though you can only see the last one --> "java as the first programing language"
in truth however there is a stack of books, which usually are on my desk, and i placed there to hide during my job interviews XD

book-tower

from bottom to top the books are:

  1. java as first programing language

  2. bus systems in cars

  3. mathematics for informatics

  4. basics of automotive engineering

  5. notebook

  6. programming paradicmas

  7. fantasy-mystery novel that was gifted to by [personal profile] lyonessheart

  8. ADA - spark programming

  9. spark for automotive with ADA

  10. building highly integrity applications with spark

and i only had to get up to check one title - the rest i knew XD

and then FINALLY lets talk about the new carpet and the story behind carpet

so, a fortnight ago i bought a new carpet, it arrived this week and at first i was sceptical... but to that more later, because when i bought it - online, I could not decide which one to get, so i did the sensible thing, that every sensible person should do: call their friend on the other side of the planet who a) just got up and b) is not that invested what is cluttering your floor --> both highly positive things i find.

first we went through all the carpets that were acceptable in pricing and on the first look looking ok - then we sorted them out -> the style, the highness, because my floor gets awfully cold, but i do a lot of things on my floor, like the jigsaws, the sewing, drawing, reading etc; and if i like it and can see it in my flat. during this process we found out, that all the carpets on the shop i was buying from (a shop that pays taxes in my country) were photoshoped - and NOT very good at that, it was really weird but also hilarious to me XD
we narrowed it down to two - and at this point i may add, that i wanted a light one because where the carpet is, it is bit dark with all my windows looking west, and autumn/winter coming;
well here it is: i decided for this one

carpet

flynn said it looked like vomit in colour - which i have to disagree! i find it looks awesome, and it helps with the darkness where it usually lays (not to where i moved it to do jigsaw)
but it was also hilarious, the one i like she calls vomit-color just because it is beige XD also yes she and i both knew from the get-go that this is a granny-pattern, i like it!

on the other hand: i totally did NOT think the size through, yes i was aware that it was 150x80 cm; but i did not think that that means it is carpet size and NOT rug size... which at first, when i rolled it out was worried about, but NOW i am grateful for, because i can move it around and it is still decent in size for my flat, without cluttering EVERYTHING
so yes, this is my carpet, it fits to the rest of my flat, and i like it a lot
it is super comfortable, and warm when i sit on it! it is 1,6cm high that helps i think XD
--story over

so there you have it the weirdness that is going on in my flat, and partially in my life
hope you are all good!
best wishes
