With a satisfied smile on his lips he excited Harrods. He finally found something nice for his mother. It had always been difficult to find a nice gift for his mother, but it was especially difficult this year. But the glass stylus, with an intricate pattern in the handle and a very precise tip. Of course it was a package with a matching ink pot and candleholder. It would be a fine addition to her salon, and Draco was certain she will make good use of it.
It happened just as he turned around the corner to walk towards the nearest apparition point that he was smashed into the ground, sending his bags flying.
"Damn," was the first thing he heard. "Ron, are you ok?" was the next thing.
As he sat up, a offered hand appeared in front of him. "Sorry, Draco, Ron was in a bit of a rush."
"Yes, I noticed," Draco answered and took the offered hand.
"Malfoy," Weasley greeted him, and handed him his bag, which made a very distinct noise that it shouldn't make.
With a heavy sigh Draco took the bag, which made even more noise. "I think something broke," stated Weasley in the bloody obvious that only Gryffindors were capable of. "I'll pay for it of course, and I am really sorry."
It was the fact that Harry still held his hand, and gripped it a bit tighter, that kept his temper in check. He took one big breath and sighed silently.
"I presume you needed to go somewhere fast?"
"Yes, I was supposed to pick up fifteen minutes ago, but… well, not interesting," Ron said, and looked from Harry, to their hands to Draco and back again. "What do I owe you?"
"You should have him cook and bake for you, he is really good at it, but doesn't really want to do it that much," Harry suggested with a small grin.
Harry had the subtlety of an Mandrake… and Draco was well aware what he was hinting at, what he had been hinting for the last few weeks.
"May I suggest, that you do not keep Victor waiting any longer. And maybe a suitable evening for a dinner can be found on a later date."
It was the shine in Harry's eyes, and the big smile, he threw his way before he rushed off with Ron again that made it worth that he once again needed a gift for his mother… as for the dinner, he would be certain to milk it for some favours out of Harry for it.
