smirkingcat: (blow me)

so, when i moved (yay for move being done *does happy dance*) i decided that i need a more simpler and easier life, and started to define that for me, since that is what living simply is all about, and also getting rid of much stuff. you wouldnt believe how much stuff i threw out- starting with papers, and ending with clothes and everything in between (but for books and plants because i like plants, and i dream of my own library and so having books around makes me calm).
but now my question:
christmas is coming, and ppl tend to give you stuff on christmas, which i would have to throw out, seing as i dont WANT it in my life, as stuff is clutter, and clutter drags me down. i also dont want clothes because i now know how many i own, and its INSANE, and i am still slowly going through sorting that out- after the big sort out i already had...
how much of a prat and evil person am i when i go and say to my nice family: know how for christmas you always give me nice stuff, please dont do that. instead i would like in no order of importance:

  • a nice trip for a day or something

  • special food i would never be able to afford myself

  • books- all the books, any books

  • vid-games: you know like overwatch- which i have been talking about forever, but its still so expensive and i cant spent that money right now... or some others of my list...

does this make me spoiled and ungrateful? i just dont want them to spend money on stuff i would throw away before the new year, really...
