Author's Notes:honestly today was the day I was like: damn it no time, I have too much to do… but well I wanted to try it anyway… so this was started during class and finished after a long, long day all errors are unaccounted for…
Draco wasn't sure how long it had been a rumor, but it was a rumor that never died. Harry Potter was an animagus. The rumor in and of itself, did not really shock Draco. There were many animagi out there, and the registration process, though still highly desired by the Ministry, could not be regulated. And the old regulation laws were removed when all the laws under The Dark Lord's influence were reversed.
Over all, Draco did not concern himself that much with Harry Potter's animagus form, he was far more interested in his own. Because he was getting restless. Ever since he first became an animagus, he realized that some part of him changed. Maybe it was because the ability to become an animal changed the wizard. He didn't mind that per se. It was just that though his animagus did not mind going outside in winter he also wasn't really fond of the experience.
That and the fact that his mother had invited his aunt, Teddy and Harry to stay and enjoy the snow for a week made it difficult to simply go outside and enjoy the world as a honey badger. But he had so much trouble falling asleep last night, that he excused himself of whatever the plans for the day were and took his broom to the far end of the Malfoy grounds. There he breathed a sigh of relief as he changed into a honey badger.
He liked the fact that he was a honey badger. Not even snakes scared him, there was overall very little that scared him. It was a very different feeling to when he was a human.
Of course he noticed the little annoying birds flying around, but then he knew threw experience that those buggers where not only hard to catch but also seriously lacked in taste, a nice mouse would go a much longer way. However, while he was a very experienced hunter in the summer, the winter was not what he liked all that much. Especially as it made it more difficult to even find prey.
He walked through the snow in search of his first victim. And every time he started to dig for a mouse or something, one of those annoying birds started to sing in a rather ridiculing way! It annoyed him. But he tried to ignore it. First of all he didn’t have forever and second, he rather found something better than a damn annoying robin to hang around with.
It was only as the he stung his nose in some thorns – and damn that hurt because the thorn got him inside his nose – the definitely laughed at him, and nearly fell from his twig, that Draco took notice of that specific bird.
How dare it, laugh at him!
So he started to hunt it down.
Which only made the bird laugh more. Until justice stroke and the bird flew into a tree trunk and fell to the ground. As Draco caught it, the first thing he noticed was the rather familiar smell coming from the tiny bird.
"Potter, what are you doing?" Was the first thing he said, after he changed back.
Then he got up, swished the snow of his robes, and waited for Potter to also change.
"Just wanted to have some fun, play a bit, you know?"
"You mean annoying me, even when I wanted to be alone?!
"Well… I don't like to be alone in my animagus form, the other birds don't like me very much… and they are rather rude," Potter mumbled.
"I thought your animagus was this big secret, nobody is to know about. You never mentioned it before?"
Draco helped Harry to stand up.
"You didn't tell me either… as for the secret, I just don't like that everybody wants to know everything about me. But I hope that between the two of us, we will get more and more secrets we share, rather than hide from each other."
