THANK YOU for all the comments! they keep me going!
start with part one, chapter one here: : @dw | @lj
“Theo,” Harry called after him, not turning around or otherwise moving. “I know I hurt him, most likely only I am able to estimate all the pain in all the different ways that I cause. Some of it might have been intentional, some of it was due to circumstances, and the rest was unintentional- Yet all I know is that Draco is still talking to me, because of what you are forgetting: he hurt me just as much intentionally, unintentionally and by circumstance....But neither Draco nor I owe you an apology for that, or an explanation for what is happening between us. However, I am aware that you consider each other more than just best friends, so I concede that Draco has things to apologise for. As for me, I will promise you that no matter the pain I cause, I’m not doing so to drive him away, never that. In fact I want the opposite.”
Harry couldn’t see Theo but he felt his piercing eyes resting on him, heavy like a woven blanket. “I think Potter, we finally may start understanding each other.”
And with that sentence he left the room and a slightly amused Harry.
The next two days passed equally undisturbed and boring except that instead of Theo Neville visited him. Harry didn’t mind Neville’s visits. At least they gave him something to do, as Neville had brought with him heaps and heaps of greenery, which for the most part Harry was unable to name, and had him make wreaths. It was hard work, because some of the plants didn’t really like to be put in shapes and Neville was fantastic when it comes to having a nice conversation. They didn’t talk about unnecessary stuff, preferring the quiet too that. But also Neville never inquired too deep. Maybe it was the respect Neville had for boundaries, why his relationship with a surly Slytherin was apparently going so smoothly.
No what annoyed Harry was the fact that there was no message from Draco. That his surly Slytherin obviously had gone back into ‘running and hiding’- mode. And Harry didn’t know if he possessed the means to change Draco’s behaviour...
