the cat, who is still alive
i know, i know, you wont believe, that it is true, and i have not yet vanished from the face of the earth... though it would be an amazing super power to have: at will vanishing or reappearing; i can see no down-side to it
as some of you might remember, or not, i have gotten a big birthday gift from my family. it is a super duper awesome and really nice car

and this is what the car looked like after i worked on it since july when i went MIA... i think around the 5th or 7th...
it is an oldtimer - which makes it awesome, and i truly like to cruze around in it, because it is such a good car, and so nice in turns its fantastic... however back when i got it as a gift, there was still a lot of rust on it, especially on BOTH sides below the black strip, and on the back because that is where the VW GOLF is weak... and if you do not treat it the undercarriage/underbody (?) gets weakened fast... so it had to be done, but it took ages!
i worked at my aunts at first, and slept at my grandparents (they live in 5min walking distance) but then it was raining so much that beneath the car port it did not only get wet again, but also since you have to remove the rust until you reach clean and clear iron, and only THEN you can apply the rust converter my chassis was very vulnerable and i had to redo some of the work - that is when my graddad offered his garage for me to work in;
it is the first time SINCE more than 20 years that i spend so much time with my grandparents and slept there and all; but it was nice... and with the whole corona virus stuff going on , it was also good for them, as they were not being alone all the time (at least that is what my aunt said) as they could not take their caravan for their usual summer trip
it was a tiny holidy, with LOTS and LOTS of work, that got me a nice car (still waiting for it to be ready to get polished and waxed) but really nice and lovely at the same time.
then i got myself a job... it will pay for 4h a week but the work will be more like 20h a week because it is for my in school project, and i am now the head of organisation for that project... in my final year, where i have to do a project on my own and write two thesis... lets see if i can make that work, i hope so!
then i went to vienna with my parents for the first time in my car... and it was good because we drove at night, and i never mentioned that, but i have very very POOR eyesight, i was just allowed to make my drivers licence in the first place... in rain and in the dark i dont see anything... well not that much, i see a bit, you know what i mean... anyways i had my first experience with loosing the footing of the car(?) (due to construction street down sizing, rain taking away all the light, me being too fast because i didnt SEE how dangerous it got) i was swinging so much that if i would have hit the breaks i would have full on sliding mode and CRASHED into the construction side because i did loose the road and then went back up... it was a mess, BUT the one thing i did was react the right way: less gas, no breaks, no clutch and just countersteering until the car was steady on the street again, dad nearly had a heart-attack because this could have gone sooooo wrong that we rather not talk about it, but as things stand it went alright.
and on monday this week i took my first all alone LONG range drive - i drove 463,1km in 2 days, that was rather nice, also if i have not said so before: FREEWAYS are BOOORING as fuck! thats why as soon as i can i switch to federal motorways much more fun there.
so, this so far was my holiday - my last ever summer break and i spent most of it on work or driving.... kinda stupid but well what else is there really right now?
so the story part is over,,, now it is time for the list of hell, because there are a LOT of things i need to get done before september 1. - fuck me that is sooooo soon!

real life
i think the main goal still is to enjoy the summer as best as i can, that is why i stay at home with my parents (and the pool) until the 23th... but podfic work can only be done in my own flat with my good pc;
still everything is just about timing and organisation and i just need to get my shit together, there are after all enough hours in the day, i am certain of that
on that note - SORRY for having missed all your updates - i am not certain with how many i can truly catch up, but i shall try, but i hope you are all doing good during these trying times, and also having a bit of fun and luck!
best wishes, stay healthy and strong
