Planning ahead
When Harry first arrived back at Hogwarts he had thought himself stupid. Nearly all of his friends have entered one job or another: Ginny flew for the Harpies, Ron was in auror training, Hermione was studying one thing or another- it was hard keeping tack, since she changed her job every few months, trying to find the "perfect fit". Neither Ron nor he were certain what it meant, but they also didn't want to ask. Neville stayed at home nursing his grand and his parents, and Luna was right beside him. Sean and Dean were of travelling though the world which would have meant he would have spent a whole year with a room just for himself.
At first that head sounded appealing, but once he sat on the train, ignoring all the awed stares from the younger ones, the dread had built up. A room on his own would also have meant nobody to save him from the masses. Luckily for him normal rules did not apply to returning seventh years.
They could come and go as they want, not even class attendance was mandatory. Though if they were missing more than seventy percent of the classes, they would need to take up make-up classes, and nobody wanted that. But the best part was the rooming. As only a handful of people had decided to return, they were all housed in guest rooms, which were so much more comfortable than dormitory rooms. And also offered so much more privacy.
This was how he had found his new favourite winter indoor activity: distracting Draco form studying or brooding. Both activities Draco tended to overindulge in way too much, if Harry were to let him be.
That was why Harry never let him be. And truly both of their time is way better spend together in bed anyways. They had teenage-driven, hormone induced escapades to make up, since both of them had been preoccupied when the others had found time for such things.
And especially awful snowy cold days, when not even Hagrid liked to go outside were best spend in front of the fire, tasting each other, caressing each other, enjoying the closeness that came so natural to them. And if Draco started to talk about horrible school work again, he had many ways to shut him up.
And as long as Harry promises that Draco will not fail his NEWTs just because a bit of enjoying his time, its all good. And truly, Draco is already over-prepared. It was a fact that Harry liked to tease him with, when they dared to talk about the future. Harry would say, that he will just be Draco's kept man, and train their adopted children for the family quidditch league.
The fuzzy warm feeling that he got when in response Draco only rolled his eyes, but never protested, was what made coming back to Hogwarts worth it. Well, that and the sex. It was excellent sex after all, and no matter what Draco said, most people were still staring at him because he was hot. And he was all Harry's. That he had ensured, with a few well placed comments, some pictures to the papers, and one or two hickies he forgot to tell Draco about.
Someone had to stop Draco from working himself to death in the future as well, after all.
